The bond that makes walking out difficult after a fight in a couple’s roughest of times as husband and wife is the children. They are the wind that continuously blows so we move towards each other. The force that keeps us on our toes and gives us balance so we don’t tumble down when strong challenges come. Children are the reasons why parents wake up each morning to plow the field.
We live, we love, we fight for them. They were the reasons why we walked down the aisle again. They are the constant reminder that life is not just about us. Our relationship is no longer a simple man and wife.
It’s you, me, he, she. Our anniversary party was not only a celebration of our 35 years of togetherness. It was a day to celebrate our family. There have been a lot of strong winds in the past that threatened our resolve, but with God’s love, how corny it may have seemed, we walked down the aisle, a common path, and renewed our vows with full of laughter (some tears) and love and gratefulness in our hearts.
