October 19, 2012 Friday
Metrobank sponsored cocktails and the King & I‘s friday’s performance exclusive for their friends. They gave us two tickets so Julienne and I went.
There’s a Mango boutique just right before the entrance of the Newport Performing Arts Theatre. Instead of entering Newport, Julienne went inside Mango. I followed suit.
I ended up buying two dresses, one red and one khaki. Julienne? wala.
The show started at 8 pm, we got here at 7:30 so paspas, kain.
I ate 8 pieces of that mini turon. Up to the last bite, I never figured out what it was and how it tasted, basta gutom ako, kain lang ng kain kahit ano.
The female security guard found Menthos at the bottom of my handbag. She poked it few times and told me bawal daw yun. I looked at her, squinted my eyes and ignored her. Bakit bawal?
Cameras are not allowed during performances.
We weren’t seated together but our seats were too close to the stage. I could see Monique Wilson’s facial expressions, socks, bloomers, etc.
I was impressed by the stage production, the backdrops, the elephant was adorable complete with blinking eyes and rolling trunk,
I was very sleepy. I could have enjoyed the King & I better if I had a good night’s sleep. Remember we just had the grand launch of Ford Cainta the night before? Although the party ended at 8 pm, Julienne and I stayed till past 10 pm kasi syempre nagligpit pa kami. I slept at around 3:30 am. then nag-office pa kami. Antok na antok ako while Monique Wilson was singing… :”I could have danced all night… I could have danced all night”…. Sasabayan ko sana ng kanta…. “I could have slept all night… I could have slept all night…”.

ha ha ha, last thing I saw was Monique Wilson dancing with the King.
I must have dozed-off. My fair lady ba yun? My God, how embarrassing. Antok talaga ‘ko. Hindi pala antok, tulog-na-tulog!

Karen, basta narinig ko may word na “dance”. Tapos siguro natulog na ako.
you’re so funny! it was “Shall we Dance?”….. so uplifting pa naman yung number! it actually brought tears to my eyes & the whole audience gasped with Leo & Monique’s sweeping dance across the expansive stage!
Ay mali, I just heard the word “dance”
