There’s a new restaurant called The Pantry at La Fuerza in Pasong Tamo Avenue beside BDO. They serve simple Filipino dishes plus some other stuff like Dynamite Cheese (fried sili with cheese), spaghetti (P125) , and ___.
Prices are not fine dining category but they’re not cheap either especially for standard wage earners.
I sat in the board of the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP) for a few years. I was not a furniture manufacturer, but I was helping promote Philippine products and industry during that time. One time we were having a board meeting, they wanted to have an early breakfast meeting eh ayoko nga maaga. I suggested if we could just have breakfast in the evening. They looked at me with disdain. Parang ang weird ko. Seeeee. I am a visionary. It’s happening now. People having breakfast all day and even at night.
There are not too many affordable restaurants on this side of Pasong Tamo kaya The Pantry is a welcome lunch-out destination among employees in the vicinity.
