I said hi to Kuya Ben
There was a young couple sitting on the grass by the fence. They were very sweet, talking about what they plan to do to spruce up the grave of their loved one.
Ako naman parang I felt so sad.
Gupiing view of the Laguna de Bay
abot sa kalye ang water lilies. I forgot how it’s called in Tagalog.
I went to Pila-pila. There are many nice, bigger homes now but much of it looks pretty much the same as 50 years ago.
the Nuestra Senyora de las Angeles Chapel was closed.
I wanted to go inside the church sana but it was padlocked. Bakit kaya eh Sunday ngayon
I said Hi to Kuya Pending, a relative of ours. I asked him if he remembers the names of my father’s relatives and if he knows any of them, or if he knows their whereabouts. He only remembers a certain Alfonso Tan where my Kuya Junior stayed for a few years while studying in a Chinese school in Binondo. Alfonso Tan could either be my father’s cousin or uncle.
The name Marcelino Tan was also mentioned as my father’s uncle who’s based in Angeles City. According to my father, he studied in San Fernando, Pampanga. I have never heard him mentioned Angeles City.
And why am I trying to halukay this information? I want to search for my father’s roots, my roots.
There was a promise I made to my father that I never fulfilled. That’s to bring him to China to find his family. He was little when he came to the Philippines with an uncle of his, and he never got to go back.
Even if my father is no longer around, I would like to do that, while I am still strong enough to do it.
It’s tough because I have no leads.

thanks annie for the picture and pagpunta at my sisters’ house..:)
madam, replace na your camera with a handy point and shoot Panasonic LX7 or LX5, it will fit inside your bag but works like a DSLR 🙂
Okay, thanks for the recommendation, I will check out the Panasonic.
