From the Jeronimo’s Monastery the bus dropped us of at Corpo Santo Hotel. We had an hour to shower and get refreshed. I still looked jet lagged.
When I was in my 30s I didn’t know the meaning of jet lag. Just one short sleep after arrival and I would be good to go. At my age now, jet-lag is spelled with all capital letters and consumes my whole traveling time plus two weeks after arrival in Manila. Minsan naman even if I don’t travel yet I feel jet lag like symptoms.
Our dinner with the FPG Insurance group would be at the nearby Time Out Market some 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We didn’t walk with them, we took our time to catch up a little bit on rest.
Time Out Market is a concept created five years ago by the publishing team of the magazine Time Out Portugal. The food hall has several bars, 24 different themed restaurants and some are from top Portuguese chefs, home to Rive Rouge, a high-end music venue. The team of Time Out curated the food to make sure they are the very best in Lisbon. The food hall shares the other half of the building to fish, fruits, flowers, and vegetable vendors.
Crab, oysters, shrimps, mussels, lobsters are available.
Lisbon is a coastal city that’s why seafood is abundant here.
Time Out Market was full of diners and football enthusiasts on that night. There was no quiet spot to sit and eat comfortably. There was a World Cup game and many were eating and drinking while cheering for their home team.
We went past the food hall and looked for real restaurants with al fresco dining areas. It was too hot to sit outside.
We went back inside and browsed at the gift shop hoping to find some interesting items to bring home.
We found the place noisy and chaotic so we left. We were tired and wanted to have a comfortable, relaxed, quiet meal in a more fresco place.
