I hit my right knee on the side of the bath tub at the Old Course Hotel. It hurt so bad that I squirmed in pain.
We’re all traveling today to London, except for Ariel and his brother Orven who are flying this evening to Manila because Ariel has a taping in Batangas for the TV series Mulawin.
It’s also very cold in London so I still need to wear thick and warm clothing. I like my pink coat but I am dying to get out of thick clothing. Parang nasasakal ako.
The drive from St. Andrews to Edinburgh airport was almost 1.5 hours.
It’s so hard to travel heavy. Our group has so many maletas plus the golf clubs.
Couples Larry and Mariz encountered some problem when they were checking in. They were asked to pay an additional British Pounds 375 for one big heavy maleta. Bobby and Madet saved them by getting their maleta and checking it in under their name because they were still entitled to one. They only paid BP130 instead of BP375. Larry and Mariz also have two small luggage sent thru the Montalla clan via train to London. They saved on excess baggage there too.
It was tiring traveling with lots of luggage and heavy at that especially when there’s no direct tube to the plane.
The British Airways flight was so full. We regretted so much that we flew instead of taking the train. We thought flying would be faster because it was supposeod to be a 55 minute flight. In principle that is true but all this waiting at the airport, the delays and baggage limitation make flying a lesser choice. Next time we know better.
Long walk, no surface train. Hay I was exhausted.
We were going to take the free train to transfer from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 where we would live the golf clubs and some luggage at the Storage Counter but there was an accident so the train was delayed.
The mood was a combination of fun, exhaustion, anxiety. Eto ang asawa ko isinalansan yung maleta namin, ang swerte ko, bumagsak yung kabigat-bigat nyang maleta, diretso tinamaan ang kanang tuhod ko. Naiwak ako sa sakit. It was still very sore from the morning accident when I accidentally hit the bath tub, eto, tinamaan na naman.
After 40 minutes here comes the train that would bring us to Terminal 3 only.
It was so difficult to have a lot of luggage, big and heavy.
I am going to downsize my maleta. We intend to buy medium sized ones. Ang hirap magbuhat.
At long last, after walking like one kilometer dragging heavy stuff, we found the storage counter in Terminal 3. Why Terminal 3? Because when we fly back to Manila, PAL takes off from Terminal 3.
Kanya-kanyang iwan ng maleta and golf bag. BP30+ for each item for 5 days.
Medyo magulo pa rin kami kasi Larry and Madet couldn’t figure out which maleta they’re leaving behind.
They sorted out their belongings. Hard to travel talaga with so many things. Kakapagod.
Our group are staying in different hotels while in London. Kanya-kanya na yang booking. Except for Boy Tan who’s coming with the Yee family and sharing a room with Edmund.
