Tagaytay is no longer as easily accessible as when I first started frequenting this favorite tourist destination in Luzon.
The travel has become time consumming. It’s no longer an easy commute, more so during holdiays and weekends. That’s why for quick visits, I do weekdays.
Political paraphernalias decorate every fence, street.
I hope all the candidates remove their banderitas, posters, tarps, on May 10 whether they win or lose. Remove and dispose of responsibly. Huwag itapon sa dagat.
In other countries, public projects funded by public funds don’t include the names of the public servants. Only the names of the projects, completion dates, total allocated funds. I wish that kind of ethics is also practiced here in the Philippines.
I see Bongbong Marcos’ headquarters in EDSA every time I go to the office. You can’t fail to notice it kasi ang laki ng mga karatula.
Before proceeding to my first stop, I bought Jollibee meals for my driver, for the farm caretakers, and for the two workers and their spouses.

A small house I built 15 years ago has been totally neglected. Kahit walang nakatira, nasisira, nabubulok The gutters are butas-butas and puro kalawang. Rusts have corroded the steel gate and balcony railings. It also needs total repainting.
I stopped by a small neighborhood tindahan that has flourished and expanded. This is where I buy some chicharon for our dogs at the farm. Para meron akong maisubo sa kanila.
They are selling halu-halo, bumili rin ako. Nalimutan ko kung magkano. Baka beinte pesos.
I am here for a quick ocular.

We have several jackfruit (langka) trees in the property but they are neglected by the caretakers kaya we don’t get to harvest many fruits. Masipag magbunga but no matter how many times we remind the caretakers to cover the fruits and check kung hinog na, wala rin. Mga tinatamad.
We didn’t get to visit the farm for more than one year because of the lockdown. The cows lost a lot of weight. Andrew and Daisy are so thin, naawa ako. I feel sad looking at them. The caretakers failed to give them the proper care. I will hire a female caretaker next month to look after them and the chickens.
Our dogs Cali and Jersey, plus the two others are very rowdy. When we arrive, they keep jumping at me, naha-harrass ako. So we keep them in a cage while I am visiting. I feed them chicharon while they are contained in the cage otherwise I can’t subo them. Lulundag ng lulundag.
I could hear them crying. They know I am here. Naaawa ako sa kanila.
