Tsismosa and Tsismoso - Oh My Buhay

No one wants maids or drivers or guards that are tsismoso and tsismosa.
But I think most of them are. They talk about the people who employ them.
They are very curious when I am talking to other people. Our drivers always move closer to where I am to hear and see what I am doing. I caught one driver who even peaked inside my bag, curious siguro baka akala meron akong photocopier ng mga piso.

When I am paying for plants, or any thing, they move closer to me and look at the money I am holding, the money that I am paying to the electrician, to the delivery sales guy, etc.

They also like to make conclusions about anything and everything.

One time we were stuck in traffic, I called an employment agency inquiring about a kusinera, within ten minutes after we arrived home, the kusinera resigned, her things packed and ready to go. There were only three people in the car who heard me talking on the phone, me and the two guys seated in front. Eh di mga tsismoso. The driver was my first suspect because he and the kusinera became BFF.

The village security commander is recommending some male personnel. Instead of letting the guys come to our house, I swung by their security office where I interviewed the applicants.

The next morning, our isa pang tsismosa na kusinera told me “Mam, kulang na ang pag-kain natin. Maraming darating na gwardya”.
Nagulat ako. I didn’t get it at first. Then after 5 seconds, oh yung driver ko tsismoso.

I really got pissed-off. I went down to the garage and scolded the driver. He and kusinera have grown fond of each other. Super close sila. I told them “mag boyfriend ba kayo, mag-asawa ba kayo?”
This is the flow of the tsismis— while I was inside the admin office of the village, while my driver was waiting outside, one security officer made tsismis to my driver that I am hiring some guys daw, then my driver made tsismis to the labandera, who told the kusinera.

The labandera resigned after a few hours. She si leaving daw on February 13. Someone heard my comment “I couldn’t wait”,
the next morning, she was naka-make up na and ready with her bags. What a big relief.

I found some expensive stuff in her bags, like shoes, sandals, bag, mga bigay ni Oyen sa kanya.

Bulgari silk pouch with cosmetics.
If I am not mistaken, the tiara with rhinestones cost at least P2,000. It had only been worn/ used for a few minutes.

Edmund had been wanting to fire her kasi naging comfortable na. One time Edmund was looking for face towels kasi he couldn’t find any. When he asked her where the face towels were, she murmured “ang dami-dami namang tuwalya dyan, maghahanap pa”.

Edmund told me he almost let her go that very same moment.

Kaya every time she greeted me “good morning mam, ingat po kayo”. Parang hindi ako sure kung plastic ba sya or she really meant it.

  1. Hello Ms Annie.. ๐Ÿ™‚ i hope ur feeling better now ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mashado naman nila sinasamantala ang pagiging LENIENT and KIND nyo as Employers… Tsk.. Tsk…

May God bless u with more PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE in dealing with them.. ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy ur weekend and pls be safe always.. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. With due respect, may I ask why do we feel aggrieved when other people pries into our belongings, when we think it is acceptable to take photos of other people’s bags and make it available for anybody who might be interested to see….
