We were picked-up from Fundacion Pacita by the tour guide named Jhayanne and a driver she calls Kuya Basil, in a Toyota Innova which they said they rented from a retired government official for P3,000 a day.
Jhayanne and Ryan Cardona now organize their own tour groups with the closure of the Bataan Travel Cultural Agency where they both worked before.
Our tour today would bring us to lunch and to the northern part of the island of Batan in Basco, the biggest island in Batanes. first stop was a small chapel near the hotel called Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church
also called Tukon Chapel.
The guide mentioned that a daughter of the Abads got married here.
She also mentioned that the family of Sec. Butch Abad spearheaded the construction of this stone chapel.
