Kind of missing Asian food, we walked around the small town in cold night. With only a few choices, we settled at Tulsi, a fine dining Indian restaurant serving Thai food too.
Tulsi is a name of a girl in Hindi and it also refers to a sacred plant which we know as basil.
The walls of Tulsi are decorated with a combination of Indian, Chinese, Thai movie posters and photos of movie actors. Maybe this is an attempt to create an Asian feel.
We stayed for several minutes outside their door reading the menu displayed on the glass window. We weren’t sure what to expect but when we entered the restaurant, the place was clean, tables had white cloths and there were several white people dining. It’s considered a fine dining restaurant.
Among the dishes we ordered, this shrimp salad was the one I liked the most. It had cilantro, lime, and zucchini. If ever I find myself in this town again, and I decide to go back to Tulsi this is just what I will order.
