We got two wedding invitations this summer.
One is from Sarah, a family friend, Nyke’s very young ninang sa kumpil. If I am not mistaken, she must be 26 years old only. Sarah’s a nurse and she’s marrying an equally young Fil-am doctor she met in school.
I couldn’t return the ribbon back, it’s too tight.
Edmund and I are attending Sarah’s wedding this Sunday afternoon in Fernwood Gardens in Alabang. It would be our first time there. Problema ko long gown is required. Ang init ngayon plus my gowns are so masikip na.
What shall I give them? ‘La pa akong naisip.
And the other one is from Charlotte, Oyen’s classmate in ICA and my inaanak sa kumpil.
Charlotte’s husband to be is from China. HK would be their future home.
Charlotte’s parents are Nyke’s ninang sa binyag. Her parents are very religious and active in all church activities.
When Charlotte was still in high school, her dad Carlito came over to our house. He was worried that Charlotte has a Filipino suitor. The night before kasi, he caught her on the phone speaking to a Filipino guy. Sabi daw ni Charlotte, he’s just a friend and he’s actually courting Oyen. He came to see me to verify if that’s true. I told him I knew the boy and mabait na bata yun and I knew his family. And yes indeed he’s Charlotte’s and Oyen’s friend so he doesn’t have to worry.
He’s worried that Charlotte would have a Filipino boyfriend / husband. They’re the old Chinese that prefer marrying same genre.
Carlito got his wish. Charlotte is marrying a full-blooded Chinese from China.
We can’t attend Charlotte’s wedding in Tagaytay because we would still be out of the country on that day. I will just send our gift, nakalagay sa invitation tila dapat money kasi nga they would live in HK.
Congratulations to both.
