Our next destination after Sulyap was the pottery garden and restaurant of Augusto “Ugu” Bigyan located in a one hectare flat land in Quezon Alvarez Village, Tiaong, Quezon.
His compound consists of one big house, a clay bungalow and several nipa hut bungalows and kubo-style gazebos.
Ugu is an accountant by profession but years ago, he studied pottery.
It took him 14 years to built his enclave. He kept apologizing that it’s mainit because they lost 8 big mango trees to typhoon Glenda.
The place is nice, except that my body was sweating. It was so hot.
There’s an open lanai that serves as his pottery gallery, where you can buy his one of a kind masterpieces.
The very talented artist, self-taught chef and gracious host, Ugu Bigyan with yours truly.
