Busy Friday - Oh My Buhay

My meeting with Atty. Kapunan was at 11 am. Not wanting to be late due to super mega traffic along EDSA, I went straight to her office at the Fort. Napaaga naman ako. I was in the area by 10 am. I went to the toilet just to waste time and spent 10 minutes there. There’s no wifi naman kaya I just washed my hands 3 x and enjoyed the warm air from the hand drier. Ang aga pa rin, only 10:25 am.

My office faxed some documents directly to Atty. Kapunan’s secretary so it kind of helped me waste more time by collating the docs and reading them.

By 10:50 am, I was led to their conference room. I’ve been to this room two times in the past. First was during their new office’s inauguration. Second was at a luncheon meeting with the Women’s Business Council. Lorna sponsored our lunch and served us Japanese Bento boxes.

I met Lorna’s lawyer son, Atty. Lino Kapunan. Mapapagkamalan parang kapatid lang ni Lorna.

Every law firm must have this complete set of past rulings by the Supreme Court. They serve as lawyers’ bible. Every Supreme court decision becomes a precedent which lawyers and justices follow as their references.

037

I want to have a complete set too but it would be weird because I am not a lawyer.
Para kako references lang. After the monstrous holiday traffic becomes less monstrous, I will go to Rex bookstore to buy maybe one or two of this for my reference.

Their office used to be in Ortigas Center.
041

From Bonifacio Global City, I rushed to our office in Makati.
042

While I was in Ayala Avenue, a friend called to say he’s at our showroom with his cousin, to pick-up her Ford Ranger. They’re hungry na daw but the pick-up truck wasn’t ready. His cousin kasi forgot to bring one document which was necessary before we could release the vehicle to her.
I just invited them for lunch while the Ranger was being prepared and cleaned.
053

I brought them to the new Basil restaurant branch.  They both enjoyed naman the food.

Prawn cake and fresh spring roll.
043

They ordered Tom Yung soup
044

Waiter qualification, must have diploma in photography and digital operation.

046

Perfect dish, crispy chicken with cashew nuts
048

Bagoong rice
049

Prawn with garlic

I ordered Buko gata for dessert. The waiter came with a green bowl containing some durog-durog na sorbet. Ang konti pa, para bang tira-tira na nilagay lang sa bowl. I really felt so offended. I rejected it. What’s with this restaurants, when you price your dishes against the quantity, consider value for money or BALANCE. Okay lang if you want to charge more, but give more. Wag yung ang mahal na nga tapos para bang ayaw nyo kaming bigyan ng pagkain, ang konti. And plate it nicely naman.
Kumulo talaga dugo ko kahapon.

Fried Thai Banana with vanilla ice cream (for dipping)

The Ford Ranger was ready when we came back. They didn’t want to have the leather seats’ plastic covers removed.

Client was happy. She’s going to use it first to reach 1,000 kilometer, then they would bring it to their farm in Samar.
