I almost missed the luncheon for the 20+ business delegation from UK.
My assistant didn’t read my office emails for several days. I was about to leave my house when I got a call from our secretariat asking if I was attending the luncheon on that day. It was good I was still at home. I immediately changed into a business attire.
The meeting was held in one of the function rooms at the Manila Golf.
I saw several women playing golf. I got disoriented while looking at them. I thought it was a weekend, then I realized it was a weekday. But how come they were here playing? Naisip ko kasi wala ba silang pasok? Oo nga pala, golf is 24/7.
Manila Golf is the premier golf course in the country due to the million dollar price of one golf share.
Looking at the fairway made me miss the Old Course in St. Andrews.
I arrived on time. The guests came about half-hour later.
They looked tired and sleepy. Some of them arrived from UK on that day, some the night before.
The group were accompanied by representatives from the London Chamber of Commerce, UK / Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Department of Trade and Industry officers, including the Philippine’s trade attache in London.
Babe Romualdez was the one who booked the function room because he’s a member here
while RP Manhit chose the menu.
Sandra owns a townhouse in Cyprus overlooking the beach. Weekly rental is approximately US$300+
RP Manhit, Tony Lopa, Ms. Weirdo, Fausto Preysler, and Jesus Pineda, Jr.
