Unhappy People on Facebook - Oh My Buhay

Unhappy People on Facebook

According to a study recently published in newspapers, those active on Facebook are unhappy people. It could be true.

Facebook is, in a way, an outlet for a person’s feelings, emotions, thoughts, without the need of personal confrontation. It enables a person to shout out what’s in his/her mind and heart. It could be true that they’re unhappy with their lives. It serves as a platform for shy people to expose themselves without actually meeting people face to face.
Aloof people are able to connect to others semi-incognito. They can openly and easily express their opinions on anything.

Facebook is an answer to loneliness and aloneness. People feel connected to others 24/7. Any day, their Facebook friends give a feeling of belonging and companionship thus helping a person cope up with unhappiness.

Facebook makes it easier to connect and socialize with people. It allows us to socialize and to be closer to our friends, family and relatives.

People also use it as an avenue to share their successes, including material wealth. I’ve seen people proudly announcing their new car purchase, their new house, travels, shopping, food, children’s honors and awards, one’s accomplishments, happiness in love, etc. They’re happy and want to share it with the world.

We also have to remember that not all those on Facebook, has some new house to show the world, award, a new Louis Vuitton. Most could not afford those things. Some don’t have a happy family. There are parents having troubles with their children. Many women have bwisit husband and many husbands have bruha wife.

These people, after seeing other happy posts from others, could sulk into sadness, self-pity, envy, and other negative emotions.

It’s like a high school reunion. Those who have achieved some degree of success are the ones most likely to attend the reunion. Those who feel they’re a failure would have some hesitations to mingle with those perceived as more successful.

There are those with bad intentions who use Facebook to flirt, seduce, curse, and to blurt out anger and disgust. Meron naman naninira ng kapwa.

We should also put the feeling of envy on check.
Never be envious of others for whatever reason.

If she got engaged and ang laki ng singsing nya, eh ano ngayon? You will not die if you don’t have a ring. You will not get sick if you don’t have an expensive bag. If you have money, go and buy, if you don’t have, go home and sleep.

Just enjoy looking at other people’s activities and photos. View them as a form of entertainment. Never compare their lives with yours. Iba iba ang buhay.
