We took Uber from the hotel and were very surprised and pleased at how fast the car arrived, and how fast we got to Pebble Beach, Taking Uber proved to be a good alternative to taking the shuttle bus, finding public parking and paying a stiff fee. Uber only costs $16 plus tip from Best Western Plus to gate 1 of Pebble Beach.
My husband was worried my feet would hurt from walking. He suggested that I just wear whatever feels comfortable, eh ano pa di tsinelas. I was the only one wearing slippers on the golf course.
I was expecting warm weather. I left my sweater in the room buti na lang I have a shawl in my bag but it was more of a fashion statement than to keep me warm. It was chilly and foggy.
Only transparent plastic bags are allowed inside so I left my shoulder bag in their locker room. Phones and small cameras are now allowed unlike in the past. I am excited to catch Tiger Woods with my cellphone camera.
Pebble Beach golf course is not extraordinary looking. There are many golf courses around America and in Las Vegas particularly that are better looking but Pebble Beach has something that other golf courses don’t have, a spectacular ocean view.
We are walking hoping to find Tiger Woods, the only reason why I am willing to talk far.
PGA sells millions of dollars worth of merchandise. Golf fans just grab anything to bring home.
I saw Tiger Woods here, at this very green ten years ago, hitting the ball but that time, no cellphone and cameras were allowed.
Trophy Club
Our tickets allowed us access to the Trophy Club tent where we could purchase food and drinks, and rest.
I haven’t seen Tiger and yet I was tired already from the long walks.
Too bad Tiger doesn’t play at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, we have great golf courses here in AZ as well 🙂 do not play nga lang during summer or Monsoon season
We heard that there are beautiful golf courses in Scottsdale. Hope to visit in the near future.
