We went straight to Discovery Suites in Tagaytay instead of checking in first at Taal Vista Lodge. Traffic was so bad on the other side of the road so it’s wiser to just eat first.
We went to Restaurant Verbena for the first time.
The restaurant is right in the lobby of Discovery Suites. The place is small so it’s integrated with the bed and breakfast’s lounge.
Their late 30s year old chef is David Pardo de Ayala from Columbia.
This is not an everyday restaurant because the prices are for especial days only. Be prepared to spend P1,500 per person if going for a complete, soup, salad, main, dessert, and drinks.
Oyen ordered Herb Risotto.
She’s facing the sun.
They have a small garden at the back with a whirl pool.
The chicken liver pate was good.
Bacalao and Chilean Fish cakes P395. I shared this with my kids because I could only take one piece. The insides are too creamy for me.
Fried Mozzarella with arugula salad
My son ordered this Warm Scallops Salad with quail eggs on top of potatoes P425
Lucban longganisa risotto
Herb Mushroom Risotto with Truffle Oil
Leg of Lamb for Nyke
We skipped dessert. We’re too bundat.
