I drove around Rizal starting in Antipolo, Teresa and ended up having lunch in Morong. I passed thru Cardona then down to Binangonan. I went to the parish and offered a 9-day novena for my son. I also offered mass intentions for Edmund, Oyen, for my deceased parents and kuya Ben. I also offered masses for thanksgiving and special intentions.
I went to the port to buy fish. To spend a thousand pesos here is already a big deal to the fish vendors who personally know our family, the Tans.
I bought 20 kilos of live tilapia but our maids didn’t want to eat them, amoy putik daw. When my driver saw me buying two kilos of kanduli, he said “kumakain pala kayo nyan”.
Laguna de Bay is a major food source to millions of people. It’s sad that the lake gets dirtier by the minute because thousands of people living around and on it use it as their garbage bin and toilet.
I see this fish all the time here in Pritil but I have never bought even once.
One gallon of tiny fresh shrimps is fifty pesos. It’s good for dozens of okoy.
I bought a kilo of fresh biya for P250 / kilo. Best with sliced tomato salsa mixed with onions.
The fried thingy on the plate on the left handside— do they look like okoy to you?
