I was like a Zombie when we touched down in Dubai. I was totally drugged from the migraine tablet I took while at Charles de Gaulle.
I just followed Edmund to the uber spacious Emirates passengers lounge. The first time, it looked impressive. The second time, I felt annoyed walking far and wide. Everywhere I looked were spaces, spaces, and more spaces.
Oh boy, this place is bigger than the NAIA 2. I am talking about their business lounge!
Filipina receptionist at the lounge. I think her name’s Rhodora.
We settled in and Edmund got some food. I got a piece of croissant but it was cold and makunat.
Practically all the waiters and food attendants were from the Philippines.
There were magazines and newspapers everywhere. This news article caught my attention kasi nga I’ve been wanting for a massage ever since we were in Scotland.
I dozed off again.
Edmund woke me up and told me we better transfer to the other business lounge closer to our departure gate. See, they have another one in the other building.
We passed by a children’s area with eat all you can Haagen Dazs ice cream. Filipina ang naka bantay. I took one for me and one for husband.
Vanilla for E, strawberry for me.
We took a 2 minutes train and walked far and wide again to the lounge. With less than an hour left before boarding, Edmund went to the Duty Free area to look for an ordinary t-shirt to wear during the flight back to Manila.
I, instead, walked to the middle area and bought a Christmas gift for my son. The sales staff was Filipino.
The cheese Edmund bought at the Paris duty free was so bantot. Even with the aluminum foil and two plastic wraps, it still smelled. Before boarding, he re-wrapped them and tripled the plastic again. He wrapped his leather jacket around it kaya even his jacket became bantot na rin.
