The Covent Garden is actually my favorite place in London. It’s across the theater where Miss Saigon was shown, and near the Waldorf Hotel in Aldwych.
My early trips in this city found me so amused at the street musicians who performed all day in intervals during weekends.
There were many quaint shops and the nearby market had artisans from Italy and Scotland. I was able to buy a few small house decorations, some of which are in our powder room.
The small stall owned by an Italian immigrant is still here. But I couldn’t find the one making cute picture frames. There are more Made in China souvenir stuffs.
I haven’t seen this place with this much people. Tourists kaya ito?
This was where I bought some of my Royal Albert plates. There used to be a store here selling all the original rose patterns. I couldn’t find her store anymore.
We walked to Marks & Spencer, also within the Covent Garden area, actually at the underground station. I liked this Xmas trimmings pero paano ko iuuwi.
Sabi ni Edmund isang lang ang mabibili namin, baka mabasag.
Ang cute nila talaga. I need new Christmas decors pero mahirap ngang mag-uwi.
The whole place is a shopping district.
We went inside this men’s polo store pero ang mamahal naman $195 pounds sterling x P70 = what!!!
Everytime Edmund sees an Aldo store, he goes inside pero wala naman syang nagugustuhan.
A———- “Tart, wait, 60% off, papasok ako, mahal ito sa atin”.
I bought two pairs of corduroy pants and one polo shirt. I paid BPS109 for the 3. Mura kaya yun? Ang problema yung pants. tila na impulse buy ako. I took size 28 eh yung tyan ko ipit na ipit, naka umbok pati.
Ang haba ng pila, Ano ito? Five Guys?
A—– “Excuse me, hi, is this a franchise?”
Store guy—– “Yes, it’s an American franchise with 1,500 stores in the US”.
A————- “What time do you open? What time does the crowd gets this thick?”
Store guy—– “11-3 less people”.
A————- “Tart balik tayo bukas I try natin”.
E————- “US? Bakit never heard?”
Edmund——– “O eto, Chinese, mukhang masarap”.
A————- “Okay, noodles, ditto na lang tayo umupo sa labas”.
Edmund——– “Sagap natin lahat ng usok”.
Anong lasa? pwede na.
BPS 6.50 per bowl.
A——– “Eto yata yung Leicester Square”
E——– “Anong meron dyan?”
A——– “Basta yung pedestrian…sinara nila yung street”
Pwede pala Casino.
E——– “Tingnan mo yung lobby, tuloy-tuloy”.
A——– “Kuhanan ko ng picture, parang may multo”.
A——— ‘Taga Greenhills yan, nag-migrate dito”.
