When husband and I shop, we do it separately. We agree on a time frame say one or two hours and determine the meeting place. Usually, inside the fast food, near the restroom, at the main entrance or in front of a particular store where there’s a bench to sit down while waiting. If one finishes earlier, a text or call, or just patiently wait for the other one to finish. If one is not yet done after the agreed time, an extension is issued “take your time”, But of course, take your time must not be construed as endless. There must be a limit. Half hour ba or another hour or till the shops close. It’s hard to wait with no clue until when you’re going to sit and watch other people go by.
Most of the time I had nothing in particular to buy. Lakad-lakad lang, pag merong nagustuhan, bili. Minsan tingin-tingin lang kasi ang hirap naman magsukat ng damit. Pito ang huhubarin ko, pati medyas, Nakakapagod. And the results are predictable. “Ay pangit, halata ang tyan ko”. Tapos balik suot na naman, una sando, second thermal sando, third short sleeves thermal shirt, fourth long sleeves thermal shirt again, tapos cashmere cardigan, sixth sweater, seventh winter coat. Ang bigat.
The big discounts offered by stores are enticing. kahit ang hirap magsukat, sige na nga kasi 60% off.
