We really thought we were already late for the reception. We left Taal Vista Hotel at around 5:30.
View of Taal Lake from the van window
It turned out we were even early. Most guests would be coming from Manila kaya mas late pa sila dumating.
I had a a lot of time to enjoy the scenery from the veranda.
Great view while playing golf
I never got to use my shawl. Mainit pala dito.
A jungle of flowers adorned the restaurant’s entrance.
Edmund with the father of the groom, Buboy, and their young golf mate, fondly called by everyone as Shoti.
Table setting Overly decorated ceiling. I felt like I was going to a cabaret show. An abundance of flowers on every table. Very nice view from the veranda. I thought we would all be dining at the veranda. I thought it would be too cold and windy that’s why I made sure I have a big shawl. Mainit dito kasi this is no longer part of Tagaytay. Although the lake could be viewed closer, Midlands is actually closer to the water and is part of Batangas, no longer Tagaytay. According to one of the relatives of the couple, they were expecting 250 guests but more than 300 came. The younger ones were in the veranda. The older ones were inside, like us. This would have been a perfect photo, without me in it. From the time we left the hotel, till after two more hours, I didn’t cough. Then all of a sudden after we were called to have a photo op with the newly weds, I started coughing. I felt like dying. I had to control my coughing, I had to hold on to my breasts to prevent it from falling further and farther… on to my stomach. I had to hold my breath, so as not to cough, and to suck in my bulging stomach. Ako pa ang lapad-lapad ko. I was placed in front. Ako pa, who defied the dress code. The invitation said strictly formal, long gown dapat. Ayaw ko nga at naiinitan ako, nakakatihan, nahahaselan. Tapos ako pa napunta sa unahan. Sana si ___ ano na lang. Hay I keep forgetting her name. She’s the pretty girl in royal blue gown standing beside her husband (in glasses and with aqua blue necktie).
