Wedding of Maxwell and Charisse

Maxwell Patrick or Pat for short, is the son of Edmund’s golf friend Buboy Alvarez. I didn’t want to attend his wedding to long-time girlfriend Charisse Ann Ponce or Cha for short, after I’ve seen the wedding invitation that says the required attire was strictly formal. I have a personal boycott against wearing long gowns when attending weddings, unless I am the one getting married. If I would just sit down and eat, then wearing an uncomfortable long flowy and itchy dress is not a desirable thing to do.

Omb——“Tart, ayaw kong mag gown. Uupo lang naman ako”.
ECY——“Gusto mo tanungin ko sila Benjie?”
Omb——“Wag na, siguradong magga-gown yung mga misis nila eh puro ninong at ninang sila”.

We skipped the 1:30 wedding ceremony at the St. Benedict Church in Ayala Westgrove Heights, Silang, Cavite. We just went straight to the dinner reception at the Monochrome, Nuvali at 6:30 pm.

We were seated beside Raffy Juan and his pretty wife Pauline Suaco – Juan. Pauline is currently the editor in chief of Preview Magazine, while Raffy lists the following activities in his twitter account: truck body builder, Italian automotive leather supplier, avid golfer, squash player, husband and father of 3 boys.
He and Edmund met thru golf.

I couldn’t see the guy across the table because of the tall flower arrangement.

The secondary sponsors had their own grand entrance. I couldn’t see them because the elaborate flower arrangements blocked my vista.
Para saan kaya yung mga matataas na dahon? Masyadong inspired yung florist.

The plain looking wedding cake was in contrast with the over the top table decorations.

Sayang din itong cake. The bride and groom took a slice, the rest, wala na. Guests would be too full to finish this tower.
When Oyen had her debut, I ordered a very nice cake too, I think two layers. The next morning, I brought the whole thing to Aurora Boulevard. Under the flyover in front of Sta. Clara Church, marami dung mga street people. I made them queue up, baka kasi mag-agawan eh matapon ang cake.

Tila 30++ na sila.

Some of Edmund’s golf friends mistook this young Japanese Mitsubishi executive as Edmund’s son.
