We rode the van back to the hotel, ahead of the entourage and other guests. Instead of going straight to our room to freshen up, we headed to the hotel’s coffee shop and ordered pizza and clam chowder. We figured we would take a quick bite before going to our room. Maybe the reception would start around 6:30 pm. We have an hour.
The clam chowder came after 30 minutes. I had zero expectation but to my surprise, it was not the potato-filled chowders that I hated. It’s not creamy, no potatoes, and it’s surprisingly delicious. It’s not canned daw, they prepared it fresh.
Our pizza arrived after an hour, after we’ve made three follow-ups, after we told them to cancel it na lang because we’re late to the wedding reception.
We had it wrapped and left it in the room.
The mom of the bride saw us at the coffee shop and requested us to proceed to the 6th floor.
But instead of minding her, our attention was caught by the sudden appearance of Mayon Volcano. Oyen and I ran outside, at the front garden of the hotel and took photos, oblivious of the fact that the reception could have started already.
We’re late to the reception. We ran to our room and freshened-up for 5 minutes. The bridesmaid’s hair was still okay.
When the elevator opened, the newly weds were there waiting for their grand entrance to the hotel’s 6th floor ballroom. The entourage and some guests were positioned in the aisle.
Shrimmp cocktail, I had two of these. Hindi naman heavy.
chocolate mousse, I didn’t touch this. I am not fond of moussie-moussie.
Fruit salad, I had 3. Ang konti naman kasi. Oo na, excuse-excuse.
The groom’s business pala is lechon. They ship daw to Manila. Baka makunat na yung balat pag dating dito.
We were not paying attention the first time, kaya we requested for a second take, but the photos were no different. Nakapikit pa rin. Because of this, I am skipping rice today. Ang tabatsuy ko na.
