We’re now in Santorini, the most visited island of Greece and one of the top touristic destinations around the world.
This is the last leg of our seven day Greece holiday.
The two-hour sail made me a little bit dizzy. Standing here staring at the huge door and waiting it to open did not elicit excitement to see Santorini. I wanted to get out of there fast and I was looking forward to reaching our hotel room as quickly as possible to escape the chaos so I can freshen up and rest. You know, old people.
I don’t advise bringing little children on a vacation in Greece unless you don’t want to enjoy your holiday.
The leoforio (bus) took us to a steep climb from the limani (port).
The drive was slow because so many vehicles were coming and leaving at the same time.
Santorini is known as the black pearl of the Aegean Sea and it has breathtaking views of the caldera and the volcanic beaches with crystal clear deep blue waters.
Santorini offers a spectacular and different landscape along the cliffs. The white patch on top of the mountain looks like snowcaps but they are actually hundreds of traditional white houses.
Welcome to Santorini!
