Who wants to change?

I’ve been this way for more than half a century. There’s always that desire within me to change myself for the better. But just like what my father used to say, when you’re past 32, matigas na ang butu-buto mo, mahirap ng baliin. It seems like impossible to change the kind of person I’ve always been since time immemorial.

who wants change?

I am not giving up on myself yet. Despite my age na para na akong punong kakawati sa tigas, I can still do a little bit of tweaking every now and then.
I have a tendency to be negative. Because I am very sensitive, I dwell on the past and blame myself for mistakes. Instead, I should focus on the lessons I’ve learned from those not so nice events, so that the remaining days and years would be happier.

I shall try to focus on the positive side. This mental attitude should make me better equipped to handle challenges that are relentlessly coming my way.

I shall try to cry less and smile more.

  1. Yes Annie, don’t give up. Forget the past but remember the lessons learned. Road to change – I like to think of it as two steps forward and one step backward. Eventually, we can reach our goal.
