Lunch at Chef’s Home

Baguio Aug 25-26, 2017 183

The interior of Chef’s Home needs some sprucing up most specially the toilet which needs a fresh coat of paint and some serious make-over. If I were the owners, I will remove the plastic covers on the dining tables to remove the carinderia vibe which is not in consonance with the quality and price of their dishes.
This quaint restaurant gets a rating of 4.5 stars from diners. It rightfully deserves being considered as one of the best restaurants in Baguio City mainly due to the delicious cooking of Chef Alvin.

After lunch, we went to the Ayala area where the call centers are.

A good way to kill time is to have a good mani-pedi while drinking Starbucks coffee.

I wasn’t able to buy a gift for my husband. I tried. I went to the Dunhill boutique in Rustan’s two weeks ago. But I didn’t buy anything because I was afraid he would not like whatever I would buy. Dati when I came back from my travels, I would buy him Bally shoes, polo shirts, neckties. Little did I know that he never liked any of them. It was only after more than ten years that he finally told me, he didn’t like the styles. Kaya pala yung mga Ferragamo neckties nakita ko sa charity box.

I asked him to choose whatever he likes from the watch display and that would be my birthday gift to him but he ignored me. He thought I was not serious. Of course I was seriyos!

There are two handicrafts stores in that stretch of what used to be the American commissary.
One of them is he Mana Manna Ethnic crafts store. They have several antique wooden window panels with colored glass and capiz shells. I wanted to buy two pieces but I wasn’t sure where I would put them in my unfinished cottage house. Baka masayang lang and mawala because I stopped the construction. I will resume maybe lae next year.

Abah, nag-level up na itong barrel men.
Baguio Aug 25-26, 2017 212

Hindi na nakuntento sa size ng mga ibon nung mga ninuno nilang barrel men. Ipinaglakihan na talaga based on their fantasy. The bathign barrel men has been a novelty item even time immemorial and is for fun sake only. But to make the penis life size or bigger than life is no longer funny. Bastos na. Dapat ito sa sex shop na lang itinda.

We attended the 5 pm Holy Mass at the S. Joseph the Work Parish Church near Wright Park. We’ve been to this church before when Oyen was only one year old. We were with my mom and my sister. Nyke wasn’t born yet (of course). I think we went back when my son was still in the primary school.
