Willie’s Internet Cafe

Today is the funeral of Willie.  Aralar,  not Revillame.    That’s not corny.  You would be surprised as to how some people process information and jump into conclusion.     Willie Revillame is healthy and alive,  Willie Aralar is the one who died but refused to be interred last Sunday.

I couldn’t go back to Binangonan na kasi I have things to do and a party to attend to later in the day.  This morning palang I was already feeling tired.  Kuya Lito was able to go to Willie’s wake last night from 8:30 to 11 pm according to him.  According to kuya,  not according to Willie.

Totoo kaya yung kwento nila na Willie himself went to the funeral parlor to request postponement of his funeral?    I told his wife baka naman gawa-gawaan lang yun nung punerarya.   There’s an extra payment for every day of extension.  For the rental of the lights, carpet, and other equipments.

The dead visiting the living is a common story.  It’s not improbable.  Could be.  Pwedeng mangyari kasi di ba there are souls and spirits naman.  Siguro nga.

But why would he want to postpone his libing?  Bakit kaya?   Hindi ko sya masisisi.   If you cannot postpone your death,  the most you could do is try to postpone your libing even for a couple of days.  But why?

Magagalit  ang mga kalapitbahay at kamag-anak  sa haba ng lamay.    Tired na sila sa kaluluto ng sopas, at kahihiwalay ng Boy Bawang, kahuhugas ng mga pinggan.  Mga puyat na sila.

In  Willie’s case,  what could be the reason why he wants to hang around on earth?

I actually asked his wife who’s going to tend to Willie’s business and house now that he’s gone.   Hindi pa raw nila naisip.  His family kasi lives in Manila.

He owns an internet cafe.  It could be the reason.  He lives by himself and maybe no one would manage his home business.    Maybe he wants to make sure the computers are switched off after use to save on electricity.    Mahirap ipagkatiwala kahit sino na lang yung internet cafe nya,   pera yan,  cash  ang bayad by the hour.    Baka mawala ang pera.   Sya na lang muna ang magbabantay while his family is still looking for someone trustworthy.

Ang mga tao matatakutin  kaya hindi sya pwedeng pagala-gala habang nag-i-internet yung mga customers.  He should just quietly sit near the entrance para bantayan kung nagbabayad yung mga tao.   He may place the cash box in front of him.   Kung merong manloloko at hindi nagbayad,  kalabitin nya.  Yung mang-uumit ng pera,  hilahin nya ang mga paa.
