We took a taxi from our hotel to Calle de Serrano, where the luxury brand boutiques are located.
The temperature was still high but walking along the shaded areas made our window shopping a little fun.
Our first stop was the LV boutique purposely to look for a pendant for Oyen.
The store didn’t have a stock and we were informed that the whole of Spain didn’t have it. We should go to LV’s main store in Paris according to the Spanish saleslady. Ang layo naman ng Paris, hindi pwedeng magtaxi.
At first no saleslady was approaching us. I just patiently waited while one lady was attending to other puti customers.
There was a dog and the owner made this weird public display of affection by laying down on the floor on his stomach and laid his face flat on the dirty floor, then kissed the dog. He was nuts. Baliw. Baliw is my new favorite expression nowadays. Actually I use it when referring to our drivers who are Pentium .5. I don’t want to say they are stupidendum kaya I say baliw na lang.
We made a quick look at the Massimo Dutti store but there was no big sale.
Despite what was reported that it would be the start of citywide sale in Madrid or nationwide summer sale in Spain, most stores didn’t have a major sale promotion.
Husband was starving and feeling dizzy so we grabbed some salad and sandwiches at a cafe.
Hermes was located on a side street. We passed by it but missed it because the store’s frontage was narrow. Lumampas kami we didn’t notice it.
As usual, they told me they only give priority to regular customers daw when it comes to Birkin allocation. Only if the store personally knows you then your chances of getting a Birkin goes up. Tourists who walk in, no way.
I was not going to buy, I just asked, in case.
Calle Serrano was not the busy / crowded shopping street I had imagined. Parang konti lang ang stores. For our last window shopping stop, we went to El Corte Ingles. The son was really hot at this time.
