XINTIANDI OR XIN TIAN DI is frequented by expats and has become a popular tourist destination when in Shanghai. The place is actually small in comparison with our gimmick places in Manila with only a dozen or two restaurants and a few retail shops. There’s a big upscale mall at the end of the street called Xintiandi Style, but while we were there, there were very few people. They also have several good restaurants.
We actually went to Xin Tian Di for Julienne to take photos. She’s attending photography classes every saturday and she wants to practice using her camera. She also wanted to try out this restaurant called DIN TAI FUNG. It is rated as over-all number one in Shanghai. I don’t exactly know the criteria. Probably the expats voted for them because of their many different kinds of siao long pao.
Julienne’s vote would keep them on top.
They covered Julienne’s winter coat and handbag while we were eating probably to prevent her bag from being stolen?
Sayang naman yung mall, high-end and yet, no customers.
The mall is actually impressive and the shops are very nice. We kept on walking and checking out stuff.
Julienne- “Mom, what are you looking for?”
Mom—– I might find something interesting and cheap.
Julienne– “Interesting, maybe, cheap, I doubt it.
The temperature has dropped when we went out of Xintiandi Style Mall, it was one or two degrees.
