I spent Labor Day at home, by myself. Husband went to play golf. My daughter went to Eastwood to meet up with her schoolmates. They are all trying to finish their thesis. She cannot concentrate daw when here at home. My son naman had lunch with some friends. Meron din syang sariling nyang mundo.

Edmund and I were at the dining table when my son went down to get water. Upon seeing him, Edmund scolded him kasi daw he’s fat na.

If you’re fat and you want to lose weight, come live with us. You would lose weight sa kase-sermon ni Edmund. Your fat! Jesus Christ. You’re fat! You have to do something about it! Look at you. Ang lapad mo!

E———– “Hindi ka papayat kung once a week lang ang basketball. You have to jog everyday, kailangan mapagpag talaga”.

Added the mother — “At tsaka anak, you have to cut down on food. Mag diet ka”.

To give Edmund credit, he just wants us to be trim and healthy. Sa akin lang hindi umubra ang sermon nya. Nasawa na kaya hindi na ako pinapansin.

When Oyen came back after living in NY for 5 years, she was overweight. Alam mo naman sa America, nakakataba talaga.
Naku, kawawa yan, her father bombarded her with reminders of how fat she is. “Anak, ang taba mo, ayyy grabe. You’re fat!” “Yen you have to go to the gym, you have to do cardio, you’re fat”.

Again, to give him credit, my daughter pushed herself to the limit. She starved herself, went to the gym almost everyday. Sumeksi bigla. Hindi pala bigla. It took several months of hardwork.

  1. Hi Ms. A., kawawa naman your son sinermunan. baka kasi hindi talaga puro fat kundi water retention because of the steroids he take for his skin allergy? Pero kayo lang naman ang nakakalalam how much he eats because he eats with you, kaya siguro nasabi ni Mr. E.

Ang hirap magpapayat…. lalo na pag nagkakaedad, lalo na pag nandyan ang pagkain, limang beses isang araw nakahain na, mainit, mabango at masarap na meals.
