Last year, a gallery in SM Megamall was selling a Juvenal Sanso Oil Painting for P500,000. After a few months I saw the painting again displayed at the art fair for P650,000. I went around the exhibit hall for 15 minutes then when I went back, someone else had bought it.
Last Sunday, I saw the same painting on display at the Shangrila Mall and the tag price is P1.5M. Inis naman ako, sayang. Imagine in just a year, the price had tripled.
Demand for a Sanso heightened two years ago when word got around that this Spanish born artist but Filipino at heart, no longer paints.
I am in love with this painting. The colors are subtle but the price tag is intense at 1.5M!!
