March 28, 2013 Holy Thursday
Bong and Len went with me to the Farmers Market. I wasn’t actually sure if there were open stores because it’s Holy Thursday. I jsut took my chance because I totally forgot to buy plastic cups for Good Friday’s free drinks.
When I saw the eggs, I knew the cups store would be open too.
I asked the macho guy standing beside this store if he is the one arranging the eggs. When night time comes, he’s also the one putting them back on the trays one by one. Ang tyaga nya.
I felt so relieved when I saw the plastic cups store wide open.
I bought some more ice candy plastics.
After we’ve bought 2,000 cups, we ventured into the market’s wet section. I have two tourists with me who haven’t been to our local market for years.
Giants lobsters P2,300 / kilo x 3.2 kls each
The head alone could be 2 kilos. Too expensive to serve at parties. Serve alimasag instead.
Use this giant lobster as the buffet table’s centerpiece.
Make sure you put a sign “Look only, No Touch, For Decor Purposes Only”
It’s rare to find ayungin in markets outside Rizal.
Edmund doesn’t want me to buy open langka from the market kasi daw baka nadapuan na ng langaw. They’re clean naman and to be doubly sure, wash thoroughly before eating.
I bought red flowers this time around.
It was indeed a hot day. The ice cold fresh avocado shake was too tempting. Siguro eto yung mga malapit ng mabulok sa fruit stand nila.
