When I was complaining about palpitations, nervousness, anxiety, stress, my kind husband told me over the phone —“mag-relax ka, pumunta ka sa outlet, mag-shopping ka. I emphatically replied, “Wala naman akong bibilhin”. I wasn’t in the mood really to shop not even to window shop. But I went to the Las Vegas North Premium Outlet anyway and bought two pairs of slippers from Clarks. I only wanted a pair but they offered 50% off on the second pair and instead of $29.99 for the first pair, they dropped the price to $19.99.
I needed to take my antibiotic so I ate at Chipotle to fill my stomach before taking the medicine.
Sayang naman $22 Uber ko to reach this place if I would just buy a pair of slippers, so I decided sige na nga makapag-lakad-lakad na rin, just for exercise. Wala talaga ako sa mood mag-shopping. I was actually thinking of going to Bellagio, pero I was afraid I would melt my credit card. Dito ako itinutulak ng husband ko kasi mura lang dito sa outlet. Hahaha if I go to The Strip at duon magshopping, nakaw, tunaw ang bulsa.
Sige na nga dito na lang tayo sa outlet mag tingin ng mabibili.
I always enter the Dolce & Gabbana boutique in any premium outlet I visit but I end up not buying anything. The designs and colors cater to a specific style and may not be my style but I still don’t give up. I go over each rack trying to find something more subdued.
I just whizzed by and this maroon winter fur fell off from the mannequin’s shoulder. I didn’t even touch it. The male store manager came running towards it. He was nice naman he said “Don’t worry about it”.
I am suki ng Max & Co. Aba, nothing to buy because they now have winter collection. I was still looking for those white cottons. Changed season na pala.
And what is this furry coat?
This is more like a black hairy coat.
I remembered my husband’s story when we were in St. Andrews. He and the rest of the gang arrived ahead of us. Maris (wife of Larry) and Madet (wife of Bobby) arrived at the same time. Maris looked fabulous in an off white furry coat similar to this, worn over a long black skirt. Maris is tall kaya bagay sa kanya parang pang Oscar awards night. When Madet saw her furs, she said “baka merong garapata yan”.
This shopper has the same profile as Alicia Keys at first glance. Baka kako si Alicia Keys kaya I stalked her.
Ay she’s not Alicia Keys.
It’s tiring looking only than actually buying. When you are making purchases, you are busy and excited your adrenaline is on a high speed. When you are just walking around for the sake of whiling away your time and pretending to be exercising, you get board and uninspired. So, I just sat down and watched our neighbors talk about what to buy.
When busloads of Asian tourist shoppers arrive at the outlet, that is the signal that brisk sales lie ahead.
