We stayed for two nights here at Mercure Munich South Messe.
The hotel is 20 minutes away by taxi, car, or bus from Marienplatz. It’s understandable that tour operators choose hotels that are outside the city center because parking is scarce and since big buses are used by tour groups, hotels outside the city center have bigger parking lots to accommodate vans and buses.
We were comfortable in our room although it was a little spartan. It had all the amenities we needed including free wifi.
We had two very narrow twin beds and I almost fell off my bed on our first night.
Since Edmund and I enjoy the cold air from the outside, we were able to keep the window ajar without being bothered by outside noise. It was generally quiet in our hotel room.
The buffet breakfast has a good selection. Not fantastic but very good.
