Last night dinner in Vienna

The bus dropped us off around 1 kilometer from Stephanzplats where we would spend two hours savoring our last night in Vienna and do any last-minute shopping for souvenirs, pasalubong, and advance Christmas gifts for one’s self.

This would also be our last night together as a group. Tomorrow our tourmates will all go back to Manila, while Edmund and I continue to visit two more countries.

This is a night when we dine on our own because tonight’s dinner is not included in the tour package. This is perfect, we can choose what we want and we’ve been craving authentic Chinese food.

There is an authentic-looking Chinese restaurant a stone’s throw away from the cathedral.

I went out for 10 minutes to inhale the fresh cold breeze while waiting for the food to be served.   Their heater was too warm for my body and they couldn’t adjust it because it was set like that.

The food attendant was familiar with Filipinos because he worked with many Filipinos when he was working in a cruise ship.  He picked up dozens of Tagalog words and phrases.  He is Chinese- Cambodian.  He said he speaks seven languages including fluent German, French, Spanish, English, Indian, Mandarin, and Cambodian.

He made us feel at home and he also assured us that food here is very good.

Yes, he was correct.

We had a perfect dinner.  Almost.  Except for the warm temperature inside the restaurant, everything else was good.   The service was great. The food was special, and the price was reasonable.

I was glad we came here tonight. I don’t know when we’ll ever have another chance to visit Vienna again. If ever, will surely come back to this restaurant. I hope this place would still be here.

On our way back to the bus, we passed by the hotel where Len, Kimberly, and I stayed in November 2015. It is centrally located but the front rooms get all the noise.

I remember this Boss store. I bought two suits and long sleeves shirts for Nyke here, also in November 2015.

Some of our friends decided to stay and chill at a bar restaurant. Some were able to do last-minute shopping.
