Two lady officers of Philippines Airlines, Darlin Brendia and Eileen Galindez, came to my office to personally hand over my jumbo jet with a matching plaque of appreciation.
The first thing Ms. EILEEN JOVER-GALINDEZ, Manager-Membership Management, Mabuhay Miles/Loyalty, asked me was why I flew frequently. She wanted to know how I was able to accumulate one million miles. A more interesting conversation would be how my brother accumulated three million miles. Hahaha, sabi nga ng mga empleyado nya, ginawa nyang Quiapo ang Pilipinas at America. When Kuya Lito was a lot younger, there were times when he crisscrossed the Pacific Ocean 6 times a year. I personally think my brother deserves more than a UTC.
Melanie Eileen J. Galindez and a young PAL pilot who’s a client of Makati Ford accidentally met at Makati Ford’s showroom. The young fellow was with her young family, while waiting for his car being serviced. He instantly recognized Eileen as the mom of his high school classmate and good friend. Small world indeed.
Ever since I received this jumbo jet, I have flown long-haul twice on PAL. My loyalty will not stop just because I already have a loyalty badge. I will remain loyal and appreciative of PAL’s exceptional service.
Mabuhay Philippines.
