Our lawyer and friend from the Bay Area Atty. Dennis Mesina and wife Sylvia are in town for the holidays. When I invited them for lunch, merienda or dinner here at our house, they opted instead to have our tete a tete at the Milky Way Restaurant in Makati. I was so surprised as to why they preferred Milky Way. It turned out that Sylvia, who’s family lives in Dasmarinas Village, has a good memory of their delicious halo-halo.
(flashback)
The first and last time that I have been to this restaurant was at least a decade ago when I had a short meeting with Mila Lacson and Serge Ortiz-Luis regarding some projects with Philexport. Mila exports Christmas decors and is an active member of their association. If I remember it right, the meeting was about the election of new officers, etc.
(Present)
We met with Dennis and Sylvia at the Milky Way along Pasay Road at 3:40 pm on tuesday and the four of us ordered their special halo-halo plus one pansit luglug for Dennis.
Their halohalo had ube ice cream on top, pinipig, munggo, langka etc. It was so good but I felt worried because I already have sugar overload.
Dennis and Sylvia have just moved in to their new home in Nob Hill, San Francisco two blocks away from Union Square. Edmund and I are looking forward to visit it.
