Avoid standing on the sidewalk. Always beware of incoming vehicles.
The 21 year old daughter of Letty was standing on the sidewalk along the provincial road in Baranggay Luksuhin, Tagaytay when a red Tamaraw FX owned by a certain Mr. Garcia from Las Pinas and driven by his 35 year old son lost control of the wheels and rammed right straight onto Letty’s daughter. The fx had 16 passengers who were attending a blessing of a resthouse in Alfonso, Cavite. According to the information gathered by Letty, the driver had also figured in two other accidents in the past.
Letty’s daughter Magnolia’s ribs were broken, her other organs were punctured and her skull cracked. She was bleeding and unconscious when brought to the hospital. She stayed in the hospital for weeks and until now, she’s in and out of the hospital. She was in second year college taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management when the accident happened but had to stop because of her medical condition. Magnolia will no longer be able to go back to her normal self and would require lifelong care and treatments.
The owner of the vehicle has so far given Magnolia P27,000 for hospitalization, far from the more than P250,000 (and still counting) that Magnolia’s family has spent to save her life.
