Hai Chix & Steaks

Edmund’s friend Ferdie San Agustin recently opened a new restaurant named Hai Chix & Steaks. To show his support for Ferdie’s new business venture, we went there last saturday for dinner.

With all the Hainanese Chicken Rice I have eaten in Hongkong, I can proudly say I am already an authority in judging this dish. Our family has very high expectations when it comes to Hainanese Chicken Rice.

In my opinion, their version is a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 and a good value for money at P190/order.
Ginger sauce- 3. This is just a matter of personal preference. Theirs is dry with no oil. I prefer the one with oil, ginger and scallions,

Marvin and Edmund had US Rib eye steak each. They said it was very good and priced so reasonably at P650.

They give you a small pan where you can cook your steak according to your preference, rare, medium or well done. This is actually smart.

We liked their buttered garlic shrimps with pandesal P250/order that we had two orders.
When we go back to Hai Chix & Steaks restaurant, this is all I would order.

  1. Fresh and flavorful food , well presented and affordable. We tried the Hainanese fish, garlic shrimps and fried Hainanese chicken and all were very good. Don’t miss it if you are around.
