Eight distinguished men were given the Exemplary Men of Influence Award by the Philippine Cancer Society last September 26.
Aside from President Fidel V. Ramos, the awardees are Solar Entertainment’s boss Wilson Tieng, PCCI & CREBA’s gem Dr. EG Ong, Philippine’s largest distributor of agricultural and veterinary medicine Joseph Calata, I-Remit’s chairman and president of Philippine Retirement, Bansan Choa, Boracay Regency owner Henry Chusuey, Philippine Maritime Voluntary Arbitrators Association president Atty. Ruben T. Del Rosario, Turkey Chamber of Commerce & Industry executive vice president and president of GMM Construction Abdulgani M. Macatoman,
With all due respect to the seven who are very successful in their own rights, I wished that the organizers gave former President Fidel V. Ramos a separate and special citation. His personal achievements are far supreme and he has served the country well in so many capacities including six years as President of the Philippines not to mention his key role in the Edsa Revolution. FVR deserves more recognition for his works which benefited our country as a whole.
Helen Ong, Pres. Fidel V. Ramos and Roberto M. Paterno, Chairman of the Board- Philippine Cancer Society
Yours truly with FVR and Mrs. Ming Ramos.
Both of them are doing well and looking good. The former president even ran-up to the stage when his name was called to the delight of the audience. My seatmate Luis who’s 66, said “look at him, he’s 84, and he’s stronger than I am”.
More power po.
