I was surprised last night when they sang O Holy Night during the Holy Communion.
It’s still Christmas.
She has a very good voice.
After the mass, when I mentioned that I want to try Romulo cafe, family one agreed.
I called on our way to Romulo Cafe to reserve a table and ask for landmarks. It’s in Sct. Lazcana near Tomas Morato and Timog Avenue. The guy who answered said there are few diners so it’s not necessary to reserve a table. But the minute we walked in their lobby, the guy who greeted us asked “Do you have a reservation?”

Oyen ordered pipino juice. tinikman ko, medyo mapait. Di ba maganda rin ito ihilamos sa mukha?
Edmund ordered the traditional meat kare-kare. It’s not bad, except that our family has very high benchmark on how a kare-kare should taste like. If my Kuya Romy’s karekare is a number 10, Romulo’s is a 4.
Oyen is a Salpicao loyalist, the serving is tiny. Good for one person.
Basically pinakbet na nilagyan sa ibabaw ng tatlong hiwang Bagnet daw. Very ordinary.
Oyen ordered this for herself. Baby pusit with garlic. The tiny squids taste good and soft and the garlic toyo sauce could be a good rice topping.
I tried not to order rice but Edmund looked at me and said “Are you sure? how can you eat Filipino foods without rice?”
Sige na nga, waiter rice rin ako.
Pagdating palang ng rice alam ko ng hindi masarap kainin, true, medyo matigas. Or maybe we just like our rice a little softer, para madaling lunukin.
My son was saying something about his work. Terno ang damit ko sa place mats nila at sa dingding.

If you order one suman sa latik or dessert, you get an order of suman sa latik for free, courtesy of BPI Express Credit, but you have to use your credit card.
I ended up paying for our meal kasi I am the only one with a BPI Express Credit. I just want to get the P60 suman sa latik, ngayon tuloy I spent over two thousand. Sana I just paid for the suman.

I didnt like Romulo miss annie. I too think their food is ordinary and walang wow factor. Nasayang din yung dumagdg savfats ko noon. Sa mango tree naman uminit ulo ko sa serving. Hahaha ang liit kasi. We were 5 that time tnreat kami ng bf ng cousin ko. Feeling ko tinipid nya ko. Parang 3 dishes lang inorder nya for us. Hahaha. But their milk tea or iced tea is very good. :)))
