Just like in the movies, I was expecting to see a bejeweled queen, slowly gliding on the carpet, wearing the most exquisite glittery gown. Something similar to the United Kingdom’s Queen Elizabeth when she’s in full regalia. I was waiting to see a la Judy Dench as Queen Victoria. Yet, I saw a queen, regal yes, but dressed simply in their traditional Malaysian dress with a scarf around her head.
I liked that she chose to wear something simple for this event.
