Walking tour of St. Andrews

There was a two hour walking tour for non-golfers, Nancy and I.
I went down to the lobby at 2 pm but when the tour guide saw how I was dressed, she said it’s cold and windy outside, I should change.

The town was a 10 minute walk. It’s just past the 18th fairway. The view is hindi nakakasawa. I didn’t get tired taking pictures no matter how many times I’ve seen it.
I see this everyday from my hotel window.

The famous tiny bridge

Our British walking tour guide (I forgot her name.) and my tourmate,  Nancy,  wife of Bruce, one of the tournament players.

McDonald Rusack’s Hotel is another alternative from Old Course Hotel. It has a very nice location too, right in front of the fairway and a shorter walk to the town center.

The first hotel built in St. Andrews more than 100 years ago, was bought by the Kohler Group, the current owner of the Old Course Hotel. The interior of the building is undergoing major renovation at a cost of 7,000,000 pounds. There’s a law here that you cannot change the facade of the old building, no matter old it looks.
The new building will not be a hotel, but apartments for lease and for sale.

This would be the view facing the apartments.

This monument is in honor of some dead people. I couldn’t remember all the information given by the tour guide. Ang bilis-bilis ng salita nya. Dapat meron akong tape-recorder.
039

I kept on taking photos of the view. I didn’t see Nancy take one single photo.
Ako lang yata mahilig sa view.
040

If I don’t get to come back here again, I want to be able to remember the views I’ve seen, even 20 years from now. The place is really something.
041

If I were by myself, I would sit here for a few minutes and just inhale the fresh air and embrace my surroundings, this heavenly place.
042

Masarap dito umupo, mag-muni-muni, lalo pag feeling depressed, just don’t jump-off the cliff.

I asked the tour guide to take my photo with my Iphone. And daming try. Puro finger nya yung lumabas sa frames.
