Mrs Yee, I think there’s a litte confusion about who this Elizabeth is.
The current queen is Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth II’s mother was also named Elizabeth. Before she married King George (in The Last Speech the character that Colin Firth played), she (Helena Bonham Carter’s character) was named Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. After Queen Elizabeth II (as in William and Harry’s grandma) became queen, Helena Bonham’s character became known as HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
So Glamis Castle is HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother’s childhood home. Because Queen Elizabeth II grew up during WWII, she grew up partly in London, then in the country to avoid the Blitz.
And William and Harry since they work in the Royal Air Force have last names. Theirs is Wales. As in Prince of Wales, their father’s title. If Queen Elizabeth needed a last name, she would probably use Windsor, as in the House of Windsor.
