Living with a Thief - Oh My Buhay

In our 20 years of being in this business,   it’s already an accepted painful truth that some of our employees  find ways to steal or cheat us.   Although these bad eggs are more of an exception,  it still hurts to discover we are being cheated.   We cannot tolerate dishonest employees who deprive the company of an honest living.   We run our company legitimately and we don’t cheat our customers and employees.  We are one of the most overtaxed industries and Meralco is not free.      We follow all government regulations, adhere to business ethics and we are heavy on social responsibility.

The kind of employees who cheat us  have a distorted view of what an honest living is all about.  They think companies earn a lot of money that’s why it gives them a sense of entitlement.  That even if they steal from us,  that’s okay.  That is not okay.  And what is worst is that some customers connive with them.  They want to have their cars get free maintenance and service and demand excellent customer care but they are in reality cheating us.  How could educated and affluent people do that?

Having employees in your workplace who steal from you  is the same as living in your home with a  thief.  Who would like to live with a thief?  Feed a thief?
