My husband joined 40 other friends and co-golfers to a weekend golf in Boracay last week upon the invitation of his friends Aboy Dy and Alex Tan. They played two rounds of golf at the Fairways and Bluewater Newcoast. The word Newcoast was added by Andrew Tan after his company, Megaworld bought the golf and country club from Roberto Sobrepena’s Fil-Estate group.
Alex and his wife Linda, own the newly opened The Lind Hotel in Boracay in Station 1 just after Discovery Hotel. Their daughter Tanya, was Oyen’s classmate in ICA.
Tanya got married in Boracay and the reception was naturally held at The Lind’s ballroom.
Construction work continues way into the night. They are rushing to finish the whole place by August 10. They probably have a grand launch.
Edmund said the hotel sits on a 7,000 square meter lot plus another 5,000 is devoted to open spaces. The owners found the property three years ago.
While at the lobby, Edmund said there were two Asian foreigners who kept on singing meron kasing karaoke. Naiingayan daw sya.
He noted the use of first class materials like travertine.
I forgot to ask my husband if this is a giant waste can.
Edmund was lucky to get a room all for himself while most of his friends got twin-sharing. His room also has a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool and has partial beach view.
A———“Tandaan mo kung alin ang magandang room para pag-punta natin eh di yun ang i-book natin”.
A———“Magkano daw per night?”
E———“Twelve or fifteen thousand pesos”.
A———“Mahal naman talaga sa Boracay”.
E———“Hindi lahat may view. Sinwerte lang ako kasi nag back out si Cecilio, yung may-ari ng Happie Toothpaste.
A———“Anong room yan?”
E———“69”.
A———“Ay tart, hindi tayo pwede dyan, old na tayo”.
E———- hahahahah.
