Edmund played golf. Oyen went to the office. My son brought his car to Ford EDSA for thorough cleaning. Oyen’s friend was going to use it for his wedding photos that’s why it had to be cleaned.
I went out at 4 pm and Nyke drove for me to Home Depot and to Shangrila Mall. I was supposed to exchange the dress Oyen gave me for Christmas but it was heavy traffic around SM Megamall. From Home Depot in Julia Vargas to Megamall, it took 40 minutes. I couldn’t imagine how it would be like with at least half a million people swarming around the mall so we just went to Shangrila. I’ll just go next week.
We saw the new Patek Philippe boutique at Lucerne. Mukhang I haven’t been to Shangrila for a long time, 6 months, I didn’t see them renovating this portion.
Nyke and I entered the store and sat down at the comfortable sofa while waiting for Oyen for a good 15 minutes without any sales staff approaching us because there were many people looking at watches.
Oyen would be coming from Makati, baka matagal pa sya so Nyke and I decided to go to Rustan’s to look at plates.
Oyen called, she was waiting for us at the Patek Philippe store so Nyke and I hurriedly went down to the second floor. We went back to Patek. Our meeting place was outside the Lucerne – Patek Philippe store because Oyen has a gift certificate at Cibo restaurant which is beside Lucerne.
Nyke just looked at the brochures while Oyen and I made usyoso at the actual display. Naluma na yung mga relo sa kasusukat. “How much is that? May I see that?” Next- “How much is that? May I see that?”
Next — “Miss, oh that’s nice. How much is that? May I see that?”
Sabi siguro ng mga sales ladies, puro tanong lang naman ito.
Medyo nasawa na kami pag-tingin so we left.
We went up two more floors. Oyen teased Nyke that he’s the image model daw of Hugo Boss so she should take his picture in front of the store.
There’s a small branch of Mercury Drug on this floor. While waiting for my turn,
Mercury drug pharmacist—– “Mam, ano ho ang inyo?”
Woman in black————–“Ano ba ang magandang vitamins para sa babae?”
Her inquiry surprised the male pharmacist.
After dinner at L & L Hawaiian Barbecue, we went to Zara.
I liked this winter jacket sana but when I saw where it was made, never mind.
A——“Anak this is cute, made in China”.
O——“Eewe”.
It’s impossible to avoid buying made in China products, however, trying our best to avoid their products is our silent protest to their creeping invasion of our islands.
I’ve seen at least 5 vacant stores. Lugi siguro. Sad.
Ang sakit-sakit na ng legs and paa ko sa ka-wi-window shopping, sa kala-lakad. When I am with Oyen, nirarayuma talaga ako. We went inside Massimo Dutti naman.
Oyen couldn’t decide what color of shoes to buy.
She actually liked the maroon because it’s Fordham’s color. But she also liked the blue. Para matapos na, I bought the pair of blue. She got the maroon.
Nyke bought a pair of pants. He paid for my pair of blue snickers and sweater, and for his sister’s maroon shoes. Oyen bought something else but I couldn’t remember what it was.
Massimo Dutti will have a sale starting on January 2, 2016. Sana we just waited after New Year. maka save kami ng 20, 30, or baka 50% sayang yun. Eh baka daw kasi we’ll run out of sizes.
She playfully posed carrying the shopping bags. We have a Zara paper bag, I couldn’t remember what that was. Maybe she bought a shirt or a blouse.
