The kusinera wanted to take a day off on Dec 24 but when I told her not to come back, she opted to stay home. On Christmas Day, she wanted to go out. Of course I said yes. But I told her to come back in January. She didn’t agree, she was insisting that she would come back that same day. “Ayoko, babalik din ako mamaya”.

I was patient in the beginning but after a while nakulitan talaga ako sa kanya. I told her it’s up to me when I would allow her to come back.

I gave the kusinera a forced one week leave. Naku-kulitan kasi ako sa kanya. I needed a vacation from her. She gets into my nerves. I am not looking forward to seeing her again actually.

Even without a kusinera, we could manage. We eat out most of the time. Especially my kids. Only Edmund and I eat breakfast and dinner at home.

On December 27, I prepared our lunch.

Fried rice with carrots

I reheated the left-over muscovado beef belly from Grace Park. I cooked the fresh live suahe I bought from Farmers Market last December 24. I cooked mushroom soup.
