The forum finished immediately after Pres. Duterte’s speech.
I was already outside the ballroom when I heard them calling my name. When I looked, they were having a photo with GMA. Sali daw ako, kaya ayan.
GMA is good friends with PCCI group which is good.
I was supposed to run and catch up on our village board meeting but the PCCI board invited me to join them at the lobby of EDSA Shangrila for a recap.
I haven’t seen them for a long time so I stayed.
Edwin, our Philippines, Inc. staff took my photos at the lobby. I was hoping for my friends to get distracted and forget about me so I could escape and attend the board meeting but they were watching and waiving their hands while I was having my photo shoot.
They ordered coffees, drinks and three club sandwiches.
When it was time to pay, all of them took out their senior citizen IDs to avail of the 20% discount.
It was funny, sabay-sabay silang dumukot ng wallet. The waiter looked overwhelmed.
Anton—– “Si Annie lang ang hindi senior citizen”.
Serge—– “Wala ka bang fake ID?”
I ordered lugaw, pahabol. It arrived after most of my friends had left and after the bill had been settled. Only three stayed to wait for me to finish.
